It is with great pleasure that I can announce that my good friend Mike will be blogging here at DAT Ministries. Mike is a strong Christian man and along with his wife, Laura, they have raised a fine family. He knows the Word in a very intimate way and can relate the Scriptures to others in down-to-earth writings that is easily understood by all. Mike is sure to be one of the favorite bloggers with our visitors.
Mike and I first met at a Christian blogging website called myChurch almost 15 years ago. That website no longer exists as we knew it and the domain (the Internet address) is under new ownership and the site has been re-purposed from the original owners’ design. A lot of people, and they had a membership list of 100,000 plus, were saddened by the loss of that website for blogging as we knew it. Mike and I have stayed in touch with some of the bloggers through the years on Facebook and other social media websites. What most of us have not done during those years is blog. Until now.
Within the next few days, Mike will begin blogging here with a combination of blogs posted over 10 years ago that were in their own rights classics along with newly minted blogs. The blogs from yesteryear are every bit as relevant today as they were then. Some are even prophetic. I know that the visitors to DAT Ministries will enjoy reading all of Mike’s blogs. The blogs that are republished will have the original publish date as part of the blog.
So please join with me in welcoming Mike to blogging on this website. In the future, Mike may also be blogging on his own website as well and we encourage him to do just that. He is such a gifted blogger that we at DAT Ministries in no way want to hold him back. Perhaps we will have the good fortune to have Mike publish his blogs on both websites when that day arrives. And note that I said when; not if. I believe that God has already ordained Mike to blog. I just hope that Mike will keep on blogging for a long time to come. You may not know this but I do; we ALL need Mike’s blogs to help us grow in Christ.
