This website is being built with WordPress CMS (Content Management System) and I have to say that I am super impressed! I could write a small book on all the cool features built into WordPress and its associated plugins, widgets and whatnot’s. The capabilities, features and security are simply outstanding.
There is a small learning curve; well maybe a steep learning curve for some like me, but it is doable with a little perseverance. After all, if I can figure WordPress out having MELAS Syndrome; anybody can! LOL! At first the menus were a tad confusing and a bit perplexing. but I overcame the initial fear of “What have I gotten myself in to?” to being able to relaunch DAT Ministries using the WordPress CMS. Having MELAS, I still have the challenges of a short-term memory and learning issues of new tasks. But running a website such as this is therapeutic in that it exercises my grey matter (the brain) which is a good thing. I will be talking more about the various things that I do such as maintaining this website, learning to play a six-string guitar and other things that help to keep MELAS, a degenerative neuromuscular disease, in-check. Those discussions will be found in the MELAS section of this website as accessible from the top-level menu on any webpage of this website.
So if you have a website and are looking to revamp it with a new CMS, I highly recommend that you give WordPress a try. I think that you will be pleasantly surprised at the capabilities and features of this fine CMS. As I understand it, WordPress is the #1 CMS for website building, blogging or app construction. It might just be a little noticeable that I cannot seem to find enough good things to say about WordPress. LOL!
That will be a wrap for today. You all have been great. I especially appreciate the eMails from folks that either let me know how this ministry has helped them or sent me ideas on content that I could publish. With that, I leave you by speaking this blessing over you:
“I pray that the Lord
will bless and protect you,
and that he will show you mercy
and kindness.
May the Lord be good to you
and give you peace.”
