“About Us” WebPage is Complete

The “About Us” webpage is now complete and published. It opens with a scripture from 1 Peter 3:15-16. Here is that scripture from the Amplified Bible:

But in your hearts set Christ apart as holy [and acknowledge Him] as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you, but do it courteously and respectfully. [Isaiah 8:12,13.] [And see to it that] your conscience is entirely clear (unimpaired), so that, when you are falsely accused as evildoers, those who threaten you abusively and revile your right behavior in Christ may come to be ashamed [of slandering your good lives].
1 Peter 3:15-16 (AMP)

That scripture reminds us to always be prepared to have an answer for those that question the hope that we have in us. The scripture goes on to remind us to respond courteously and respectfully which is implied from Isaiah 8:12-13.

Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do,
and don’t live in dread of what frightens them.
Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life.
He is the one you should fear.
He is the one who should make you tremble.
Isaiah 8:12-13 (NLT)

I chuckle at the first verse above; “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do…” And that was written shortly after 701 B.C. or roughly 695 years before the birth of Jesus Christ! Over 2,700 years ago! The naysayers are as old as dirt and have been around since the beginning of time. LOL! Imagine that!

On the “About Us” page you will find our:
—> Mission Statement
—> Statements of Faith (What We Believe here at DAT Ministries)
—> Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

I believe that the “Mission Statement” is powerful and to the point. As you can see, DAT Ministries is a teaching ministry. We have been doing this on the Internet for almost 20 years now and have been truly blessed by the folks that follow this ministry. If I had the time, I would open Twitter and Instagram accounts as well. Maybe one day. Or perhaps I should say… “When hell freezes over.” That should give me a little breathing room to think about opening more things to do. LOL!

The “Statements of Faith” are next on the “About Us” webpage. We tried to be very specific and detailed with plenty of references to the Bible. This section may change slightly as we add more bullets or scripture references. Overall, I believe that what is published honestly portrays our beliefs. If you have any questions or comments on this section, please post up. Your comments are always welcome.

The last section on the “About Us” webpage are the “Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)” which will be dynamic as more questions come in. Be sure to check out this section to see if your question has been answered before asking it again. Thanks!

That will be a wrap for today. You all have been great. I especially appreciate the eMails from folks that either let me know how this ministry has helped them or sent me ideas on content that I could publish. With that, I leave you by speaking this blessing over you:

I pray that the Lord
will bless and protect you,
and that he will show you mercy
and kindness.
May the Lord be good to you
and give you peace.

DAT Ministries Website Re-Launched

As of 06 July 2018, the DAT Ministries (DATM) website has undergone its fourth change to the Content Management System (CMS). Unfortunately, with each CMS change comes a period of messiness. If all goes well, I should have the website’s existing content re-loaded by the end of the summer. Our website hosting provider, BlueHost, suggested that I employ the services of UpWork to help transfer the content from the old CMS (liveSite) to the new CMS (WordPress). That costs money and was a non-starter. So I will transfer content the manual way; one keystroke at a time.

Nonetheless, the website is out of the maintenance mode and is now once again live. I have some quick housekeeping to attend to on the few pages that have been re-launched thus far. Over time, more pages will be added until the website is totally rebuilt. For now, let the fun times begin!

DAT Ministries sure has come a long way since the domain purchase on 11 April 1999 and the subsequent launch of the website on 24 May 1999. It is simply awesome to think that next year will be DAT Ministries’ twentieth year in online ministry or better called eMinistry. My good friend Andrew Carega wrote a book titled eMinistry: Connecting with the Net Generation that discusses in-part what we do here at DAT Ministries. It is a great book to read with lots of information about conducting online ministry.

God bless you all and thanks in advance for putting up with my mess while I shift through the new construction. Stay tuned as I will be posting about Ministry in the Christian faith, my terminal illness known as the MELAS Syndrome and my hobby of Amateur (Ham) Radio.

That will be a wrap for today. You all have been great. I especially appreciate the eMails from folks that either let me know how this ministry has helped them or sent me ideas on content that I could publish. With that, I leave you by speaking this blessing over you:
